Dreamy Italian vibes with Elena + Oliver – Destination Wedding Photography.

As well as photographing weddings in London, Hampshire and throughout the UK, I am also a destination wedding photographer. I’ve been lucky enough to document destination weddings in France, Italy, Mykonos and Kefalonia.

This was such a special day to be a part of. Elena + Oliver bringing Tuscany vibes to the UK. Elena looked chic, modern and stunning in her Grace Loves Lace gown from Perla Nova and statement frill veil from Sash & Veil. Perfectly complimented with some modern bridal droplet earrings by Alabaster Dream. Oliver looked handsome and stylish in his tailored tux suit from Coes greeting Elena as she arrived in the classic car of dreams from Retro Rides … and what a spectacular cocktail tower! Capturing your dream destination wedding.

After having travelled for a year after University and living and working in Melbourne I knew I wanted to become a destination wedding photographer. I love working as a destination wedding photographer and I’ve travelled to so many amazing places and have photographed lots of beautiful destination weddings at some stunning wedding venues to include quiet villages in the south of France, family homes in Roissac, old working farms in Seville, gorgeous grand chateau’s in Bordeaux to villas on the island of Kefalonia over looking the ocean and all the way up to the rocky clifftops of Mykonos.

Being a destination wedding photographer is something I love so much. I love travelling with my camera in my hand, everything is always so inspiring. The food, the places, the architecture – all the wonderful elements that combine to tell the story of your destination wedding. I love to capture the details of it all as well as all the emotion and special moments that are so unique to you.

Transform your destination wedding experience.

Deciding to have a destination wedding can feel a bit daunting at first but I can assure you that as a destination wedding photographer I have been shooting elegant & editorial wedding photography for over 250 stylish weddings across the UK & abroad since 2010 and its a decision that is always worth it!

Destination weddings can have some stunning backdrops and lighting that lend themselves to some truly spectacular wedding photographs. As a destination wedding photographer it is about knowing and understanding light, how this can impact photo opportunities and how and when to shoot certain parts of the day to really get the most out of your wedding photography. I always arrive the day before a destination wedding to have a look around the venue and explore the light in different locations. It’s also lovely to see your guests arriving and the atmosphere building. If you’re having a rehearsal dinner the night before and want it captured I’m there! It’s also lovely to stay on for a day or two after the wedding to capture any post wedding gatherings, brunches or parties you may be planning. I have lots of experience in photographing weddings so I’d be more than happy to chat it all through with you and advise on all the aspects of your day.

Here to capture who you are.

I understand that it can be uncomfortable and awkward being in front of a camera, knowing what to do and where to put your hands! I have learned over the years that not one couple is the same – everyone is beautifully unique.

I take time to get to know & listen to who you are and what approach you need me to bring to your destination wedding. If you are shy and a bit nervous then I can be more discreet & take a step back, if you need more direction & guidance I can make some suggestions on how to pose & where to stand so the light hits just right. If you’re more outgoing & need me to get involved with the guests on the dance floor I can do that too! Ultimately it’s so important to me to capture your day with a genuine reflection of who you are. Do we need a destination wedding photographer?

You could book a local photographer in the country where you’re getting married but finding someone whose work you love and who you also really gel with could prove hard. In order to get those natural, genuine portraits that truly capture who you are, you have to feel comfortable with the person taking them. It is so important to me that you feel completely comfortable and your true selves around me, as the way you feel while you are having your portraits taken heavily influences how you feel when you see yourself in the final images. I have worked with over 250 couples over the last 14 years and I can honestly say it is 100% possible to love how you look in your images if you feel comfortable while having them taken! Creating comfortable, joyful and genuine client experiences is what I specialise in!
