Telling Your Unique Story.
Every couple has a unique story to tell, and as a documentary wedding photographer I love to be able to tell YOUR story – The light, the location, the people, the laughter, the tears and all the in between moments that are so special and unique to you. I love to immerse myself in your day and capture it all as it unfolds around you. As a wedding photographer, building a connection with my couples and their friends and family is essential.
I arrived nice and early at Burnham Beeches Hotel to capture Sunny’s morning preparations with his family. They were getting ready together in the bridal sweet at the hotel and all looked beautiful and vibrant in their traditional Indian clothes. Sunny looked amazing in his sherwani, paired with a protective garment called a Salwar. Once everyone was ready we walked down the stairs to greet the guests as they waited for a London double decker bus to arrive to drive them the short distance to Hedsor House.

The Vibrancy of Indian Weddings.
We arrived at Hedsor House and I was struck by how beautiful the surroundings were. When it comes to enchanting wedding venues, Hedsor House stands out as a stunning backdrop that combines elegance, history, and breathtaking landscapes. Nestled in the picturesque countryside of Buckinghamshire, the Georgian mansion offered a perfect setting for Sunny & Reshma to create unforgettable memories on their special day.
Wedding guests arrived to the sound of Indian drummers and made the most epic walk up the drive way to the house dancing and celebrating as they went. As an Indian wedding photographer I absolutely loved capturing the energy of everyone dancing, the joyous expressions of family and friends, the intricate details that make the celebrations so special, along with the vibrant outfits.
Sunny was then met by Reshma’s family on the steps of Hedsor House. Surrounded by their family and friends, Sunny and his family then exchanged garlands with Reshma’s family in a traditional Indian ceremony called the Milni. Guests were then guided into Hedsor’s stunning Georgian mansion for welcome snacks and drinks.

Wedding Day: First Look.
After the Milna, I made my way up to Hedsor House’s luxurious wedding suite to greet Reshma for her first look with Sunny. Named the Lavinia Suite, after the glamorous Sri Lankan hotel where Florence and Philip Shephard honeymooned in 1934, it is quite simply one of the most beautiful places in which to start your married lives together. As a London Wedding Photographer with a romantic, elegant and natural light wedding photography style, I absolutely adore working at Hedsor House. Every backdrop is picture perfect and it’s a dream come true for a wedding photographer.
A first look on your wedding day can be a special and intimate moment for couples. It allowed Reshma and Sunny to share a private moment together before the ceremony, away from the crowd. Seeing each other for the first time can evoke powerful emotions, making for a memorable experience. It can also help ease nerves before the ceremony, allowing you to enjoy the day more fully.

Capturing Timeless Moments: An Indian Wedding at Hedsor House.
Indian weddings are known for their rich traditions, vibrant colors, and elaborate rituals. Each ceremony – be it the Mehndi, Sangeet, or the wedding day itself – offers unique photographic opportunities. As an Indian wedding photographer I absolutely love documenting these moments authentically, capturing the emotions and intricate details that make each celebration so special and unique.
Reshma and Sunny, surrounded by their families and friends held traditional Nikkah ceremonies under an absolutely stunning Mandap placed in Hedsor House’s beautiful gardens. The outdoor spaces at Hedsor House allowed for beautiful natural light during the wedding ceremony which I absolutely loved. The Mandap was surrounded with the most stunning floral decorations and served as the stage for which guests and family witnessed their marriage. As a documentary wedding photographer the sacred rituals, vibrant attire and emotional moments during the wedding ceremony were essential to capture – Hedsor House’s elegant setting enhanced the solemnity and beauty of these significant moments.

Capturing Love at Hedsor House: A Wedding Photographer’s Dream
After the service and Reshma & Sunny had greeted their guests and had a few drinks and something to eat, we headed out into the grounds for some couple portraits. Hedsor House has such beautiful surroundings: The venue’s location provided a breathtaking backdrop for their wedding photos. From the grand façade of the house to the manicured lawns and gardens, every corner of Hedsor House exudes beauty and romance. The moment you step onto the grounds, you’re greeted by sweeping views of the River Thames and lush greenery, making it an ideal canvas for capturing some beautiful relaxed and natural wedding portraits.

Here to Capture Who You Are.
I understand that it can be uncomfortable and awkward being in front of a camera, knowing what to do and where to put your hands! I have learned over the years that not one couple is the same – everyone is beautifully unique. I take time to get to know & listen to who you are & what approach you need me to bring to your wedding. If you are shy & a bit nervous then I can be more discreet & take a step back, if you need more direction & guidance I can make some suggestions on how to pose & where to stand so the light hits just right. If you’re more outgoing & need me to get involved with the guests on the dance floor I can do that too! Ultimately it’s so important to me to capture your day with a genuine reflection of who you are.
As an Indian wedding photographer, my aim is to document moments authentically, capturing the emotions and intricate details that make each celebration special and unique to you.
