Harriet & Max’s elegant & romantic country house wedding at Somerley House.
As a Somerley House Wedding photographer, when I heard Harriet & Max were getting married at Somerley House in Hampshire, I knew their day would be amazing! The Georgian Stately Home on the Hampshire / Dorset border combined with the cosy intimacy of the libraries, the sunlit drawing room and the quintessentially English gardens that surround it are just so elegant and beautiful! Nestled in the heart of the countryside, Somerely House provided a breathtaking backdrop for Harriet and Max’s wedding. It was also lovely to work with Camilla Arnhold Photography again. Here is a list of some of the wonderful suppliers from the day:
Capturing the Details: Your Somerely House Wedding Photographer Experience.
As a documentary wedding photographer I love to focus on the details that make your celebration so unique to you. I love to document all the elements that contribute to the atmosphere of your Somerely House wedding, starting with the groom prep.
I started the day with Max and his stylish groomsmen in Somerley House’s Farmhouse, which is nestled away in the grounds of Somerley Estate. The men wore luxury velvet jackets from House of Cavani and looked dapper whilst they drank champagne and got ready for the big day ahead. Once they were ready we had a few natural portraits outside the farmhouse before they drove off in style in two amazing looking vintage cars. The groomsmen only just squeezing into the mini!

A Breathtaking Backdrop – Somerely House’s Stunning Architecture.
Somerely House is renowned for its stunning architecture and lush grounds. The grand façade, characterised by classic lines and intricate details set a romantic tone right from the moment we arrived. The wedding venue’s elegant sunlit drawing room was decorated beautifully by Arcade Flowers for Harriet & Max’s wedding ceremony. With its high ceilings and large windows it felt grand and luxurious but it also felt warm and inviting and a lovely place to say I do.

Breathtaking Scenery and Elegant Interiors: Somerley House is a Photographer’s Dream.
With its breathtaking scenery and elegant interiors, Somerely House is a photographer’s dream. From candid moments to beautifully relaxed portraits, the venue offered countless opportunities to capture the essence of Harriet & Max’s day. Every corner of Somerely House tells a story, making it the perfect canvas for some stunning wedding photographs. Heading into the evening, Harriet changed into a stunning beaded Eva Lendel dress and Max swapped his tail coat for a contemporary green velvet jacket from House of Cavani to match his groomsmen. It was a lovely way for them both to connect the different styles of the ceremony with the wedding breakfast and was also a great opportunity for some more couple portraits with their different looks.
