The Charm of Chelsea Old Town Hall.
It was so lovely to spend time with Jack & Georgia and 30 of their closest friends and family at their Chelsea Old Town Hall wedding back in July. Jack & Georgia said their vows to one another in an intimate ceremony at one of London’s most beautiful and iconic registry offices – Chelsea Old Town Hall ahead of their big wedding celebration planned in France for the following month.
Nestled in the heart of Chelsea, the Kensington and Chelsea Register Office (also known as Chelsea Old Town Hall) offers a charming blend of elegance and warmth, making it an ideal setting for Jack & Georgia’s special day. Combining heritage with style Chelsea Old Town Hall is an iconic Grade II late victorian building set right in the heart of the Borough of Chelsea on King’s Road. Built in the early 20th century, the building boasts beautiful period features, including grand staircases and ornate ceilings. It’s surrounded by beautiful charming streets and only a 10 minute walk from the Thames, Albert Bridge and Belgravia – Its classic style provided the perfect timeless backdrop for Jack & Georgia’s wedding photographs.
I arrived at Chelsea Old Town Hall in the morning to capture guests and the bride and groom arriving. Georgia looked stylish and sophisticated in her stunning white suit from Sandro Paris and Jack looked handsome and dapper in his Charles Tyrwhitt suit. The pretty florals that Georgia and her 2 bridesmaids held were from a charity florist.

An intimate atmosphere at Chelsea Old Town Hall.
One of the greatest advantages of hosting a small wedding at Chelsea Old Town Hall is the intimate atmosphere it can create. Jack & Georgia got married in the Brydon Room, and with lots of original victorian-era features it had a grand, authentic feel but still remained intimate and relaxed. The ceremony was really lovely, with both Georgia’s parents proudly walking her down the aisle. Everyone was smiling and clapping, it was really intimate and special.
A small wedding at Chelsea Old Town Hall offers the perfect blend of elegance and personal touch. Small weddings allow you the opportunity to celebrate in a truly personal way with a few close family or friends, or even just the two of you. With its stunning backdrop and charming atmosphere, Chelsea Old Town Hall is such a wonderful choice for a small registry office wedding in London.
You can also hold bigger wedding receptions there too, the last time I was at Chelsea Old Town Hall was for a much larger celebration with 140 guests and a dinner reception in the main hall. Confetti & Group Shots on Chelsea Old Town Hall’s Iconic Steps.
The staff at Chelsea Old Town Hall are super organised and helpful, seamlessly ushering everyone out onto the steps for a confetti shot and quick group shots before the next wedding leaves. We had a little bit of time for guests to meet and greet the bride and groom and chat a little before Taxi’s arrived.

Natural & Relaxed Wedding Portraits around Belgravia in Chelsea.
Whilst guests made their way by foot to the wedding reception, Jack, Georgia and I hopped in a cab and drove the short distance to the beautiful Thomas Cubitt Pub in Belgravia. Belgravia is gorgeous! So many opportunities for couple portraits, from the charming cobbled streets and colourful houses to the creative shopfronts and floral displays – all set in an urban setting. Whilst we waited for everyone to arrive we took a walk around the streets of Belgravia and took some natural and relaxed wedding portraits.

Wedding Reception at The Thomas Cubitt Pub in Belgravia.
Jack & Georgia chose to have a post wedding celebration lunch at The Thomas Cubitt Pub in the stunning Belgravia. It was a lovely choice for their intimate wedding with the beautiful Georgian room on the 1st floor reserved just for them. Jack & Georgia wanted a few photos with everyone so we made our way onto Elizabeth Street below and took some lovely group photographs. The sun was shining and the street felt alive with all the shops and restaurants nearby. It was a wonderful atmosphere!
I then left the happy couple with their friends and family to enjoy a fabulous lunch and a fun afternoon celebrating. I really enjoyed photographing Jack & Georgia’s micro wedding, it was wonderful to photograph and a real pleasure to be part of.
